Pokemon Black and White As youngsters, who among us has not made a sandcastle? For toddlers and very young children, they are rudimentary: just buckets of sand dumped upside-down. But we all reach that magical age, where we’re young enough to still find wonder in such a simple task, but old enough to realize how to pack the sand with just the right pressure in just the right places to build something that really stands tall. Remember or imagine that time when you spent the hours at the beach, not in the waters, but on the shore, finally strong enough to use the shovel for a decent moat and smart enough to carve out the intricacies without knocking the whole thing down. Now imagine that after all that hard work, a complete stranger passing by stops to marvel at the size and detail of your castle. Suppose that a crowd forms, and before long, everyone on the beach is admiring the creation. How would you feel then, if somebody else stood out and shouted that he was the designer of the castle; that he was the one deserving of the praise? Suppose that the onlookers believed this other child. Suppose the boy was a very creative liar who told stories about how he’s worked on the sand castle for years. So many people believe he built it that the newcomers assume them to be right even though they weren’t around to see it. Suppose your friends and family, who actually have witnessed your work, forgot about you and applauded the labor of another. Suppose then, another individual approaches the sand castle. This newcomer studies it, and then declares that it has no creator. He states that the sand castle formed by random chance of the ocean waves striking the beach over millions of years. As ridiculous as it sounds, he says that, of all the beaches in the world, it is only natural that the castle should form at one of them eventually. This is exactly what evolutionists think of God’s work. Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him. Is it any wonder that children from broken homes, whose parents are drug addicts and siblings are juvenile delinquents, grow up to accomplish no more than the rest of their family? If one has no base or foundation for their morals, the word of God can sit within them no more than a cup of coffee sit on a table that has no foundation. By asserting that none of humanity has any foundation in God, evolutionists are dooming all of mankind into a worthless existence with no motivation to do good or better themselves. Pokemon teaches this concept to very young children with very cartoony, colorful animals. Pokemon teaches to children what scientists have failed so far to convince adults: that an animal or lifeform can spontaneously change into another form. If this were true, then it would mean nothing to be human, as there would be a time when we aren’t human any longer. God would not have been able to create us in His image, because He would have to be an amorphous shape-shifter instead of an eternal, omnipotent being. The logic in Pokemon is circular and impossible. The Pokemon are not created by God. If you ask a child where Pokemon A comes from, he will tell you that it evolves from Pokemon B. If you then ask where Pokemon B comes from, he will tell you that when Pokemon A lays an egg, it is Pokemon B that hatches. The creatures of the Pokemon universe have no beginning or no end. Again, back to our own universe, we know that only God has no beginning or end. Isaiah 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. Outwardly, the goal of Pokemon is to capture and enslave wild animals, and force them to fight one another, similar to illegal dog fights. The Pokemon fight with attacks like “flamethrower,” “self-destruct,” “hypnosis,” and hundreds of other wicked and bizarre actions. However, this is really just a minimal part in the game’s grand mockery of Christianity. Our world is created by God. The Pokemon world is created by a God-like Pokemon. Christians worship the Holy Trinity. Gamers worship the Creation Trio. While this may seem like a metaphor for Christianity, it must be considered evil because it is not Christianity. God does not tolerate the worship of a being who is God-like but not God. For proof of this, we need only look to the Islamic culture. Islam began as a mere repainting of Christianity and the Bible. This story is the same but the names and faces were altered to appeal to the people of the region. I’m sure that some of the followers of Christ in those days erroneously thought it better to worship God by the wrong name than not at all. Little did they know that centuries later, these rebranded Christians would be flying planes into our buildings and killing as many true Christians as they could. When I say that God Hates Video Games, does He hate products that wrest children’s attention away from church? Does He hate being called the wrong name and worshipped as something He isn’t? Does He hate cartoons that undermine important concepts like creation? Does He hate when creatures, living or fantasy, are forced into combat for the amusement of men? On Earth, every living this is a beautiful masterpiece painted by God. That’s why we give thanks before every meal. That’s why we allow pets into our homes. Why then, are the living things of the Pokemon world not treated with the same respect? My only assumption is that the Pokemon God is not loving and caring like our God. Who would you rather trust to take you to heaven? Pokemon Black and White is aimed at kids aged 3 and up. This is when the word of God needs to be studied most vehemently. Anything else is a distraction, and Pokemon offers hundreds of mythical beings to draw our youth away from the truth. Don't be brainwashed by the likes of Battlefield 3 |
